"Before" Shots and the Renovation Process

Here's proof that with some money and a little diligent work just about anything is possible!

Renovation inputs included the following:
  • Upholstery, cutain fabric and taloir work = ~$400 CAD
  • Interlocking flooring, quarter-rounds, and floor edge metal trim = ~$60 CAD
  • Carpeting = $5 (picked up at a Canadian Tire garage sale/sell off)
  • Sandpaper, cleaning materials, automotive primer, paint, masking tape and trim tape = ~$50 CAD
  • Wheel covers = ~ $45 CAD for a set of four
  • Motormaster deep cycle marine battery = ~$90 CAD
  • LPG Furnance Replacement = ~$580 CAD
  • Misc. kitchen items (e.g., cooking mitts, utensils, cutlery, dish rack, camping pots, multi-spice travel dispenser) = $75 CAD
  • Total = ~ $1295 CAD
Upgrades to the Jetta included the following:
  • Do-it-yourself signal light assembly = ~$55 CAD
  • Tow assembly = $30 CAD (bought through the Buy and Sell)
  • Professional installation of tow assembly = ~$80 CAD
  • Replacement of rear spings and shocks = $200 CAD
  • Total = ~ $365 CAD
